Nah 7x4 ex camper trailer but aiming to put a 1.4-5 axle set up under it. Can't justify dropping a heap on a tandem atm and my Utes only good for just under a couple tonne any way. I'll probably tipper kit my ute first before a big trailer

Ah okay, just the regular overriding disc brakes would probably be your simplest option. But electric brakes have their advantages too.

Is the oiling setup designed to go through the opposite hole to the adjuster and not through an actual designated oil hole? Hence the distance variation between the oil channel and supposed oil hole in the bar? The old 009's where like that and the small Electrolux mount too I believe. If the bar is mounted back to far also it won't line up with the delivery or like a 038 we had in he drilled another hole to run 62dl 3/8 chains on a 16 bar, should be 60. He had cut the end of the bar mount out and would bearly locate on both studs and the oil would just come out every where. Feel sorry for that saw bit of a clean up and it would have been good. Had an old mesh air filter on it with not medium left on it. Told him he would quickly destroy the saw running it like that in dry cutting. Got a new style filter yellow medium in and he rocked up and didn't want it, though he could stick something on his old one instead and thought that would be better :/
The clutch cover just has a flat plate.
Here you can see how close the oil groove is to the stud. It should be 6mm further north for the Ozito bar.
I checked the groove and oil hole on the 192t and they tallied up spot on.

Gees that bloke doesn't deserve that saw. A simple cheap important part and nope. Don't want it[emoji17]

G'day Chippy, had to chuckle when i read this.
Spent a couple of hours practicing chain sharpening today, got a semi chisel razor sharp, and was so proud of myself that I couldnt resist running a finger across it to "test" its sharpness.
Result- nice little razorblade cut,and blood all over the chain sharpening section of my owners manual. :)
ps drop in if you're ever down Fryers forest way

Hey Skip

I've got cuts all over my hands from being stupid with my chains.....the ozito got me the other day...it was so tightly tensioned out of the box as soon as I got some oil on it and went to spin it with my hand, well it slipped and sliced me a few more times. I deserved it. Might have to use some of that Nivea cream the guy uses in the ad that wins the chainsaw race....

For some reason old habits die hard and I'm always testing my chain tension by spinning the chain by hand and I don't wear gloves unless on ropes so I just cut through my fingers regularly...I should stop that.

Vince, have Ozito developed a chain bar combo that is so good it doesn't need oil?

That cream works great that bloke in the ad has never cut his fingers on a saw chain

Putting this 044 back together and this oil pump "bung" won't sit nicely it's lose and will fall out if I leave it there. Do I need it in there? It's looks as if it serves little purpose?

Why would anyone pay nearly three times the price for two stroke fuel, seems like an unnecessary expense really.

In 40+ yrs never had trouble with what I mix, maybe handy for racers if it gets a bit more performance ??

well didnt play with a saw but spent the weekend trying to get this back into my work ute. its just a very mild 355 stroker after a blocked oil pick up let the old engine eat itself. just a few odds and ends left and hopefully get it fired up tomorrow then just gotta send it for a dyno tune

blocked strainer, handy ,seen a lot of really gummed up engines that lunch themselves because of thick backed on build up and sludge and the owners myself included thought they were using a good oil, personally i stay away from Castrol engine oils now days and don't see any sludge or build up in my motors

nothing but penrite since ive owned it, but learnt that the previous owner had a thing for sealing everything with silicone 3 rd pic is the **** i picked out of the pickup with a screwdriver. blocked pickup, stuffed mains and big ends, buggered rings, rear main seal was ash and looked like there was so much blowby that it was basically running on oil. carbon build up was so bad it took a big hammer and drift to get the old pistons out of the bores

From what I know it just stops the gunk from getting in the end of the pump. Not sure why it won't stay put, usually they sit in there nicely once the pump is installed.
