At this stage a select range of dealers are selling the fuel as a pilot run. Sales have been fantastic so far they said.
Also due to popular demand the thin bar oil is gone and the old stuff is back. Still have a few 20 litre drums of the thin stuff to move out the door.

So got the low down on the moto mix and it's only in vic at this stage as they're getting any complications with transport ironed out but looks to go main stream around spring time.

Talking about pole saws - I take the cutter head off, it then fits diagonally in the canopy and is mounted there so it won't move, with a memory
like mine it's to easy to forget a bit is sticking out to far and "smash" !!

Because it's always in the canopy then the odd customer that would like a limb or two trimmed can be helped out on the day
without having to re attend at some later stage.

Found (the hard way lol) that once you are cutting vertically and with outstretched arms to reach a high one then stop,
climb up a ladder a metre or so and then cut it off, particularly if the limb is say 5 or 6" dia and has some weight.

new compact HT 75

There one machine I actually really like a mate brought one as the husky was dearer and then had to pay extra for all the **** to go with it. But have used it a bit and really like it. But a bit heavy when extended right out

picked up a Granberg 12 volt Grind-n-joint sharpener(model G912a) today fairly cheap at a secondhand store, runs fine, but I'm never going to use it as i'm more interested in learning how to hand sharpen properly.
anybody got a granberg file and joint they would like to trade, or maybe a stihl 3/8 roller guide, or something similar.
Heck,if nobody has anything to trade,i'm happy to just give it away,I'm never going to use the thing, buy me a beer one day.

Probably a wandering Texas wood borer R73, everything is BIG over there !

A little Stratford locale yarn - 25+ yrs ago two blokes were vying for an old roadside redgum, beautiful firewood. Crew 1 started and the next day found
a piece of water pipe driven into the centre of the log. They were not happy !

No medals for who prime suspect was. (Ozito man was not round them days lol)

It seems someone has been drilling holes in my firewood... what could it be? should I be worried?

Unusual. I have seen things that have been left against the side of a tree and over the years the tree grows around it until it's completely engulfed by the tree.....when you find them it's always unusual.....this could be similar and whatever it was rotted away, but the growth rings should show the story if it were.
