Handed over a warehouse I have been building in Campbellfield for the tenant to start their fit out. ...well over a cool mill of that Schaefer being installed....designed in Germany and manufactured in Malaysia....had a close look at it a few weeks ago and it looks pretty good.

Over the last 20 odd years I've had 4 apprentices and a number of labourers....it's been a mixed bag of course but I only ever really had 2 problems....one young bloke was smoking too much dope unfortunately and I had to let him go after 18 months as an apprentice and poor reliability from casual labour...I find with young fellas new to the work force, I tend to pay them just below the award but build in an incentive scheme of a few dollars an hour purely based on reliability that gives them a bonus at the end of a project that brings them up above the award. After 6 to 12 months of punctuality they have enough to buy a pretty decent second hand car just from the bonus and it's worked pretty well to get them to work on time. Getting them to take an interest in their work is a slow process sometimes but I've taken on a few troubled kids that have had their hand held by mum, from broken families and substance abuse...Once they trust me and take ownership of tasks and setting of goals I've seen some huge turn arounds that have really made a positive difference to their lives...kids that were introverted and hated the world and thought everyone was an arse hole changed completely to thinking the opposite.....

100% Vince. We've got 4 young apprentices at work and I'm done trying to show them anything. You tell them to run a dial on something before machining or tell them to use a mic instead of verniers and all they do is look at you blankly and tell you that they'll just do it their way................. [emoji15]

At least you have a dial there to use . We are meant to use one on every rotor we machine but haven't had a functioning one for about two years. A new bloke started and I said we need to pester the boss to get a decent dial gauge to check tHe run out on these rotors and he just looked at me blank. I give up

Kinda sad/amusing/understandable that having over involved parents is just as damaging to a kids ability to work as broken homes and substance abuse!
Raising teenagers is just plain hard.

three spans of it take up the length of my shed with a foot to spare. I was worried it was all going to fit

Tonight on 7:30 report channel ABC their doing a report on the Adler shotty. Am so fukin over this ***** what next a category k licence for a bloody kitchen knife. If the courts handed out stricter sentences we wouldn't have so many fwits in our society. Like the guy recently that got 7 or 8 years for murder, well actually they down graded the sentence to manslaughter cause he told them were the body was. Wtf seriously

Watched it, the gun control nuts still peddling their ********. We've fairly smashed the 7:30 facebook page.

The ******** getting spread is unreal people have been calling the act firearms registry to be told there banned because of it being over 5 shot but there's nothing in the legislation saying anything about mag capacity. I emailed them with a couple of questions first thing and am yet to get a reply normally there all over there emails so I guess there happy to ******** over the phone but won't put anything in writing
