nope,, but this will,, i mean really the ideas and gear they come up with is beyond me would ya not just use arms to push it,,ya weak Nancy or tho a rope have ya groundie tug away....Its like the fixed bollard capstans systems,,,, just take a few wraps of rope around the trunk jobs done

is that what its really for, there must be some sort of safety in it, or it wouldnt have been made
never seen it in action before, now ,who uses them these days

The aerosol product Superclean is a deresining spray and lubricant for hedger blades and secatures and works well on chains and bars to. Varioclean is mainly for cleaning saw body's and filters. The do a lubricating spray too and are finally releasing a degreaser and wash and wax too and a waterless hand cleaner. Was hoping to have it for spring but doesn't look like it.

G'day diggers ...
Not much just a vid of my old man cutting stuff up an down today....
We where short a few logs to make a load of fencing timber so the old man scabbed a few small Red Stringybark logs right next to the mill....
I was kind of a sucker to let him use my saws! lol...
But to be true he has my full respect as an old school Aussie hardwood logger and he has forgotten more than I will ever know! Would be funny to see his reaction to read the Americans argue which is the lightest 60cc saw to run a 32in bar as they do on AS LOL.....
Anyways check him out as he shows who's boss to a little 660! well that is until he pinches it cutting a head off, well he's only human and ain't we all!?....But yeah he is getting old 65+ years and still thinks the 090's are the best saw's ever made and gets cranky at Stihl making them no longer available if you mention anything about them.......
Oh yeah tuff old saw the ms880 poll driven into the ground and all! I'm yet to have a look at it but he does say something like whats wrong with this saw? in my vid after the fact! haha.....

good vid mate, yes sir he is old school. Casual, precise in the fact of '' lets get them down and over to the mill, times a wasting''.
Very lucky not to kill that saw, he did take that log a little too cheap, notice the attitude of a timberman, '' **** that was close, well its still running, ok lets get on with it'' without batting an eyelid.
nice vid and say thanks to your father for allowing you to vid him working.

nothing to do with chainsaws, but thought this was kinda cool:

*edit* I've now watched it a few times and am changing my mind. It's not kinda cool, it's phucking epic. Even if you don't like the foos, you gotta appreciate the power of music to bring people together and provide some joy in a world that at times can feel like it is sliding into the abyss.

It took me back to my bedroom when I was growing up, walls lined with anything that might dampen the noise - blankets, pillows, cardboard egg cartons, etc - music cranked up as I left the world behind to belt out fave songs on my drums, for hours at a time sometimes.

That loud dong was a slab of timber coming off the breaking down saw falling onto the rollers after its been cut.

Some of these old rotten trees can be really scary....I sometimes ponder how to cut them especially when they are on a lean. Often I'll just back cut them, wedge them and run....especially if they're a stringybark or similar, not often you find any stringybark not being at least half rotten out. I see you have a few your way too.

That's a nice saw too.

Cool video.

Does anyone want to sell me the following parts? They are for a 1127 series Stihl, 029 Super to be specific.

Muffler, DP preferably, the 3 bolts that hold the muffler on with nuts, and heat shield if it is much different to the standard one. My gasket is fine.

Postage to Sale, Vic.

Thanks.

If your stringys are rotten then leave 'em and find some gullies where they get better watering, the drier it
is the more termites in 'em mate.

If not sure bore, evaluate leave/fall.

I hit them with my hammer when I'm worried, sort of tells me how fast I need to move.....not so much termite problems, rot up the heart of them is pretty common this way, it's pretty much dry rot, ..never understood why they call it dry rot when it's caused by not being dry....
