Just file those back a bit do you think
Have you got a spare starter down there

The shoes can be filed back, though at a particular angel. I have built up (welded ) worn obsolete shoes.
Have I got a spare starter for a Ward?...I doubt it!...Thought, if I find something that matches your measurements, its yours.

Ok thanks, that would be great, Let me know what you want for it, if you do find one
Ive never done much with shoes before
So will see how you go, Thanks again:clap:

Why did Stihl aus ditch the 441cm.

I read on AS that the 461 price has been dropped to match the 441cm price in the states due to a shortage over there, is there a relation to the 2 events??
Popularity was one thing. People stuck in there ways didn't like change so kept buying 460/461's and all part of thinning of the herd ahead of future models...

462 is in proto type and a few kicking around oz in mtronic spec. Speaking to my insider friend it's going to be a ripper saw and from feed back he got from users ' you won't use a 660 unless you need a 3 foot bar' time will tell

So I'll leave this one alone then even at <1000pho, and save my pennies for the 462,http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ambergate/power-tools/stihl-ms461-magnum-chainsaw/1089262409

Can I assume it stays at the 76cc mark given it's a 46x series saw :)

There is this there as well

What about the 661? Only 20cc or less between them.

shes farked!! plug looks white. inside muffler has a nice spray of molten aluminum. it was super lean and died. bloody back yard mechanics. plug has a .15 gap.
but his son had a beautiful XC GT351 4 door in blue and silver!

Wow one of the worst I've seen. kitties like that shouldn't own saws. Ree fuel tank from my experience there's two types there interchangeable just the oil hoses are different later ones seem to hang together better there only damaged when dropped hard or crushed under a log ect they split up the seam

Yeah. I was gunna ask him if he tuned it after the carby kit install but thought obviously he didn't. Hope he smokes all his other saws.
Needed a screwdriver and a good hit with the hammer to free the piston up.

I would vac/pressure test it crank seal on the clutch side is likely leaking how many turns out were the mixture screws? They have an inbuilt governor in the carb too that plays up easy enough to fix but it always causes it to run real rich but they may have leaned it right off on the high speed to try and over come the governor fire off a pm if you want to know more about the governor ect

There were two carbs for the 2100/2101, hs12? has the governer, at one point they switched to the hs136c without the governer.

Does anyone have an idea how much it would cost to send a 30kilo engine from Melbourne to Queensland? What options are there?
