spark plug leads

if it is glued then you need to replace it coil and all

if you do manage to un-glue it or cut it of and add a new bit it will play up under load as the insulation will breakdown and cause misfiring.

This is a generalization but I have yet to see anyone repair a glued lead reliably.

Often there is bit of electronics that advances and retards the ignition as required.
Normally they retards the ignition at max revs.

Now that's interesting, the chimney's a different design on your mates.

Either way, it and the outlet are a touch too restrictive. ;) (although your mates is better than the one I modified, it was really poor)

aww knackered dropped my fair share of trees today none super big but lots of em pine gum live n dead and a few tricky turners hooked up or leaning away from desired used me full bag of ropin n cuttin tricks to get em all down with no harm. The new 023 Ok funny how Stihl will change stuff for stuffin around sake why now 3 screw nuts to pull off the air filter cover like a fippin husky for Christ sake, The tungsten chain was predictably slower but very handy when I working crap fallen wood on ground in blackberrie thicket.

My left forearm cramped up by avo had to just ignore it limp it though

I post some pictures but 3 cameras in house a dozen camera cables and yup not one fits the plug hole and I tried swapping card n leads n stuff but defeated and to tired to keep trying

The train crew were pleased they got a utility loco to a place that its never been since line closed hmm 1960ies plan is 2 years and it will run to Melbourne

Oh wait not true they got 3 engines to yard 1997 then let the track grow over

Seeing as everyone loves pics.....

I used a die cutter on the Makita to give it a factory look, just drilled the spot welds out on the deflector, wind the die cutter in to cut the new outlet and pop rivet the deflector back on (with SS rivets) and cut the end off the internal basket.

It doesn't do a hell of a lot and is only a touch louder.

I really wanted to roll up an internal cone and use a tube outlet with a full radius entry but I don't have a tube bender the right size to get the outlet the way I want, so this does the job in the interim.

Yeah the chimney is ok it's got a *** load of holes ill just open the outlet if I can find my carbide burr!

Just cut the whole cage completely out on the 064 to 660's
The 460's don't have them.
I took my 660 completely out and re tuned.
Most of the old saws never had cages in them.
The 090's were straight through till they hit the screen out front

But he didn't, did he.

The fumes the Church of Orange and Grey gently blow into your nostrils are mighty powerful hallucinogens, and lets be quite frank here, young Ben has partaken rather heavily over the years, after all, he is a High Priest of the Faith. ;)

In other words he needs cult busting better than just running a 7900, even though that'd convert a lay person..... :D

He'd probably lose his dealership if Stihl found out he bought a Dolmar :)

Evening Gents, just dropped in to say howdy and drop some mega reps on you good folks down under.

Good afternoon old son. Be careful hanging around this thread, you'll be swearing and eating Vegemite in no time.

It probably wouldn't have mattered but i didn't want it to be too obvious the muffler had been doctored seeing as it's a Bush Fire Brigade saw, and taking the end out of teh cage has the same effect as removing it all together.

I'd still open up the chimney, and definitely open the outlet, probably double the area if you need to keep the spark arrestor.
I needed to keep the spark arrestor on the little 064 I did which is why the outlet is so large.

I completely removed the back side of the cutting disk so now it cant be flipped other and use the other edge.

It now cuts so much faster.

It used to be so slow I was going to bin it.

works best at slower rpm as it give the weeds time to stand back up and get hit again.
