Andrew at trik fab - surname Williams?

If so knew of him through4wd online circles about 10 years back now :msp_w00t:

He was a gun tig welder of inter coolers and alloy stuff then.

Interesting to read about the GU upgrades as I'm
Of two minds to keep mine and sort it out, after 12 years of ownership, etc or just get something else (new) soonish?

Like I don't play hard offroad like I used to, so a ranger wildtrak would do..... Don't need live axless, trick chromoly suspension, but I'd want lockers again (trying to pull a couple of ton of tandem trailer and wood up an icy, snowy switchback was "interesting" last Sunday.

Did need 4wd, front locked and a heavy right boot.....

I went down the same road. Undecided which way to go. Do I upgrade to a newer vehicle or do I refresh the the GU.

My biggest issue with the GU was it's fuel consumption and to a lesser extent it's lack of power. After reading some forum threads on turbo upgrades, I was happy to run the GU for a few more years yet. With more kw's/nm's with increased economy convinced me to give it a shot. A tad over $3000 for the intercooler and turbo helped the decision.

Hmmm TD05H-16G on Ebay for the TD42 - Patrol 4x4 - Nissan Patrol Forum

good decision :) 4.2 are lazy motors and need 20 psi to work well at least. if u need pump work i would try andy at diesel tech in lilydale.
or if u want to sell it let me know first :msp_thumbup:

That sounds, um, pretty, um, awesome...

As 'Oscar', one of the Aussies on the motomatters forum said yesterday...

Forget any pro/anti-Stoner bias... accept that the sound was probably altered to disguise certain points.

But listening to that bike run without Nick ****** Harris blathering on and drowning it out, was a symphony.

gave the old girl some love new chain new clutch new 7t rim new plug new fuel filter and a new set of rings and a good wipe down ready for a hard days work tomorrow blowing 175psi no base gasket

casey also denied that he'll do any wildcards or racing.....lets hope its the same as the denial he gave about his retirement and lasts all of 1 week

it's a pity he can't drive a v8 like he can ride man he would shake things up a bit if he could :msp_thumbup:

oh annie

I haven't done much on the wood lately (did I just say that well I am 48 haha) but have done some with this it's an Anschutz 1517 DHB 17 HMR and for a rim fire it's the ducks guts bunny's at 200 no probs .

From s purely selfish POV I hope he doesn't like the V8's and goes back to bikes, and I'm an ex-car racer, but there's nothing on this planet as good as watching as bike have its neck rung :D

Back to work today

Sucks, eh.

Spare a thought for us stupid idjits that continue to work for ourselves, no worky, no eaty. :msp_sad:

BTW Matt, getting a new vac pump.

Was talking to Tony at Karcraft the other week when ordering some other stuff and mentioned the vacuum pump but said I thought it was OK, and he said they'd had a bad batch from the UK and if it was sus at all just to let him know and he'd send another one.
After degreasing everything (again) It's the oil streaming culprit, even though the pressure sender was leaking a tad too, so out it goes.

I know we all like cheap OS deals but it has advantages dealing with an Aussie based importer at times. (Hello RSCS !)
I probably should post that on AULRO too.
