Matt, I know a guy who comes around some shows and has a nice little collection of 70's moto crossers, all from oz and most he has the race history of each bike. He said he travels all over looking for bikes and parts and also gets them through word of mouth at the shows. If I still had my old bikes I would give them to him so they could be displayed and looked after for many years to come. An interesting guy.

My husky came from a restorer/ collector he passed away and gave it all to my mate along with a lathe and mill. He ended up needing money and sold all the bikes a number of them were in museums around the country.

I forgot to mention my hodaka ace 100 but I sold it years ago

Pulling stumps and filling cranks:

Yesterday afternoon I heard my neighbour revving his Nissan Patrol (GU wagon), I go out to have a look and he has a steel cable wrapped around the tow ball and a small Lillypilly stump (approx. 200mm dia) that he cut down about 2 weeks ago and left 600mm above ground. All he was doing was breaking traction. Got to say the LSD in those things works pretty darn good. Anyway, only a little movement and no love. I tell him ill pull it out for him and he has a little giggle. So today I go knock on his door and say lets do it, here you drink this beer while I pull it out. So I park my truck just in front of a medium sized paperbark and wrap a lifting strap around it and my tow hitch. Play out some cable and using a single block, double line pull, drag that sucker out, root mass and all. Hyd winch is good!

After helping him move it to a suitable location and cleaning up, I decided to have a go at filling one of my full circle cranks. System worked really well, old bread board drilled out and then a bit of glad wrap. I put some RTV silicone in the hole to help make a seal so the epoxy would not run out. It was a little messy in the end as I decided to cut up some carbon fibre cloth to add in the mix, which made it gluggy and sticky. Had I not, I could have just poured the epoxy in and it would self level.

Will it work, will it bond, will it not fly apart??? who the hell knows but may as well have a crack.
