Z4Lunch,
You wanted to see some pictures of the 500 Honda. I have this picture blown up into a poster hanging on my shop wall, to remind myself that I just don't race for the money!! Truth is, my wife looks better than these two. Dennis

500 Honda

This was the last year we cut 30" Doug fir at Albany, Oregon. Dennis Harvey holds the world record with a cold start one cut in 30" Doug fir 6.86 seconds. It takes about 2 seconds to start it and get to the wood. By the way, I blew my chain off as soon as hit the wood. No time!! The best time I ever cut it in was 7.31 seconds the year I won. I sure would like to try it again!! with my new sprockets and bar. That one did'nt have enough belly. Sure had some good times there. But, Albany is no more.

250 Honda

This is a 250 Honda set up to cold start race. I sold this saw to Carl Bishoff from BC Canada. Another goofy Canadian. I use to cold start my 500 and make 3 cuts but it was tough, and the up cut was like hang on. Both saws have backed me out of an up cut. I ran this saw on Alkie at times. It added about 5hp when I did but had to watch my jetting real close. That's Lee Williamson on the other end of the log.

Other 500 Honda

This is Rolin Eslinger from McCloud, Ca. running my other 500 at Albany, Oregon. Check out the 52mm slide carb. Never did get it right, and gave up on it. I should try it again. Anybody want it, it only cost me $400. Ah thats ok look at all the money I'm winning. About as much as Gypho and his dad won at Oroville!

Chainsaws O'reilly

1998 getting ready to head out to Winfield La. to a saw contest. Me, head wrench, Tommy Fales, head filer, and Rolin Eslinger, 6'5" 280lbs. are back up man. Rolin came just to kick James Georges ass, over a chainsaw dispute. Let that be a lesson to all you chainsaw builders out there!!! James was arrested after we left for shooting some guy. Lucky Rolin didn't get him after all. Three days out and three days back. What a trip! Those boys have good saws and good chain too. If anybody wants a good race to go to, go there. Its in April.

This is the real saws

I am really a cull, this proved it. Twice in a row. Sorry guys its like I'm studdering with pictures.

World record cut

Here's Steve Johnson from Yakima,Wa. with his World record disc at Morton,Wa. With him is Hollis Baughman one of the best stock saywers and chain filers in the world. He was unbeatable for many years, until "the man" came around.

Lee Williamson

I got a chance to race against Lee a couple years ago in Sequim....the man has some fine equipment...

In the 5 and under class, I had him beat till I pushed too hard.....

Then I blew up my 394 in the 6 and under class the night before the race even started...so I ran my 5 ci saw in that class and still got second....four tenths behind.....

I am hoping to go back again this coming year and race him again.
