The Fly and wire core fliplines

Our office is in the suburbs but we often work in the city. I think the fly is a good rope, I'm just having problems with this surface friction issue. Like I mentioned earlier I am constantly having to pull rope so it is hanging under me to go any where. With my yellow jacket I do not. Now the weight difference between the ropes is only about 1 pound per 100'. I feel the friction of the fly adds more additional weight than the onr pound or so. But from the other posts on this thread it seems this I'm alone on this one.
