I really like and prefer the 346XP. It feels better in the hands and the throttle response is outstanding. However, the 5100 would satisfy all but the most discriminating user.

Now, it's been a long time since I've run the 260. But, I remember it as a great saw. Small, light, nimble, and reliable. I talk to the Christmas tree farmers every year, and that's all they use. They have a dozen or so 260s. Never fail, never a problem. They just go and go.

I do hereby submit that we shall call the 260, the PROSTITUTE! Why?

1) No respect. No one brags about it.
2) No johnny come lately. Always has been there, is there now, and always will be.
3) No foreplay, no pillow talk, just all business.
4) No expensive dinners to prime the pump, it's always ready.
5) Remember, Timex is the 260 of watches.
