Donations welcome.

Be patient, grasshopper and the riches of CL will be yours.

I think I have one, I purchased a bunch of saw cases from a guy on craigs list and
he also had a couple of saws, this "big old yellow thing" with a huge bar looked interesting
so i asked him what the story was. He said it was frozen up and I can have it for $10.00
--after buying all the cases he said to take the saw too. --- turns out it's not frozen, has
a strong spark. I think i can get it running. --- How can i tell what model it is?, can't seem to find and tags.

Look underneath the saw for numbers stamped into the crankcase casting. Post them in the McCulloch thread where someone will translate for you.

Thanks so much, I will try to get this cleaned up and running, ---start lifting weights and working out and maybe i can cut some wood.--- my cad is getting worse, I think I may be at about 18 now. mostly husky and jonsereds.

Looks like a late 250 (non Super) to me too. Strange how those had the early short AF cover (though black) and the later styly top-switch flywheel cover. Both 'regular' and Super 250's were built with black or yellow AF covers, and various handlebars over the years. That saw has a top coated handlebar.

Hey Randy - What are the specs on the B&C is the photo? Looks to me like full skip on about a 30" bar .. Thanks!

Agreed. Supers won't have block stampings. The model and S/N are on a riveted aluminum plate in the airbox.

That B&C is not what I had on it. My dear cousin Kev put that on it when he gave it back to me. It is a Pioneer bar, with 33" past those overdone CP125 spikes.
There is a stamping on the block, not a model number, but a part # 83830.

When I rebuilt the first Super 250, Mr. Bowsaw sent me a nice parts saw to help out. I stole only a part to two get the other running because it looked to be in sound shape. Finely got the parts needed and got it together a couple of months ago. Only saw I have doubles of:rock:.
