The Stihl 090 is nothing... Go in the bit more rare end of big Stihl, the Contra S, G or GS... Those cost bigtime! And the most valueble of them all, the sandcast first year Contra with metal topcover... I dont even know the price!! I have been looking for one of those in years, but no look. Its my dreamsaw...

Blast from the past, this thread is 8 years old! Brought back to life just to lump a husky onto the list?

What's with all the old threads popping up lately? Is it the similar threads at the bottom?

You are referring to the Makita saws, right?:laugh::laugh:

For me, it's the unusual saw design. I marvel at what the engineers and designers did in the '50s with no computers.
Yes, it's an old thread but a lot has changed in 8 years. Good to resurrect it.

Likely was thinking of the Solo twin, and had a brainfart? :givebeer:

Likely because some People actually use the search function?

100% right on that. Ask google a question, google directs to an old thread, and a resurrection occurs on the forum. I just wish that bringing up old posts only happened when
1) a relevant question to the initial thread is asked.
2) a poignant piece of information is added to the discussion for posterity.

Often though it is just someone's opinion or 2 cents added for little worth.

I wouldn't mind a diesel Jonny. I bet thise sound great. Saw a nice one on Ebay go for over $1600.

I really would like just to see a Mac 895C. Never dream of actually owning one.
