I agree to the original chart. Especially the first part of it. The bigger saws can pull longer bars. Especially 80cc can have more than 20".
Standard here on for example a 346XP NE is 13" Narrow Kerf...
To have 15" I think you need to step up to a 357 ..
The good old 3cc/1" of bar rule seems to be much simpler to comprehend, and equally valid. No chart required, just some mental math.
Bar length depends on how close the tree is that you are needing to hide behind while cutting a dicey blowdown.
My chart would show that.
1 foot away--28" or better
2 feet away--etc.
