Takea look a t Jonsreds then a comparabel Husky . They lok alonst the same . If i recall Jonsreds are infact made by Husky . Just cost more . I imagine if you rally must have a angeled hamed you could order up on form Baileys they have most any thing . and it should fit it you got the Husky .
iver run all sorts oif saws and it in thevend it is the operator that makes the differnce . I love Huskys new 575 a great all around saw . Ican hand it too a newbie and a expeinced guy with a pulan from Walmart will still do faster
work on the same, size log branch ect . .

I supose if it was a a copetion seeting thgem yeah a big powerfull saw wqill cut fatrer but that is a a controlled setting

The handle is that way for speed limbing.
Pick one up hold it straight up and down, now turn your wrist fast to the right, while letting the left hand glide the front bar threw your grip. "fast eh" now back again.

On husky or stihl for that matter you also have to move your left arm forward and back on turns.

try it, Now you know why you European's use those Jonsereds in competitions.
You make a good argument as to the handle! For me my elbow feels out pf place using a Husky! Everybody is different! Plus who wants a all orange saw!

I want! And i greatly doubt that any of you can spot the difference in limbing speed husky vs. jonsered...

No I don't think I could, but it is a personal thing as to how the saw feels! And to me I just can't get used to the angle on the handle. They are the same saw but one feels different and I am glad there is a choice!

"Gunner sight" is not the only reason, I tried to locate the thread on what the Jonsered rep said about. It's designed for limbing faster. "Different technique"
I know you read it because you made a few post in that thread.

Pure BS, imo......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Only when I switch back and forth between a Husky and Jonsered.
Just try it some day.
I'm not knocking any saw on this one. you will see what I am talking about.

Well All I can say is I don't like the handle on a husky it just does not feel right to me! And that is all that matters! Is how the saw feels to the user that would be me. Even if Jreds came in an all orange ugly colour I would still buy one as I like the saws. For some people the husky feels better and I say go for that one.

That sure is true, but it is easier to hit your head in case of severe kick-back when bucking, with a streight-across handlebar..........

Not only incorrect, but the exact opposite is true. Simple geometry gives this one the lie. With the angdlebar, the operator has a tendency to stand closer to the plane of the bar if it were to roar back in a kickback. But even if this weren't the case, the angdlebar would have the effect of pivoting the bar into a plane more in line with the user's head. Think about it...if you're bucking a log at a 90-degree angle, what angle is the Jonsered handle at? It's parallel to the log, of course. Now picture the Husky in the same situation: the angdlebar now "faces" the operator. Granted, not by much, but still by some. Would you rather be holding a bar parallel to the wood, or one that is canted back toward the operator?
