John, sometimes I follow your show, sometimes I dont, one post you say this:

Just being able to enter is where the fun is, and that is where we learn, right at the chopping block.
For example, if Brian beats my stock 066 by 3 secs. with his piped 066, shouldn't that inspire me to pipe my 066 or make a better chain?
It's supposed to be about having fun first and foremost, and if we want to take it real serious, don't we go to Webster or Minden, or Kapuskasing?

The next you turn arround and pee on playinwoods gtg by saying this:

Hi Jeff, it would be nice if I were in the same place and time as you are now, however, I've been there and done that.
I can't share in your enthusiasm though for your well meaning GTG as it is only one more Ed Heard recruitment for cheerleaders so that he can sell saws.

What happened between points A and B? Talk about grey areas?:dizzy:

Are you comming out to learn and have fun, or have you turned pro and are above such small time races?

Any way, your good fun when you do show, and if you don't I am sure we will figgure out how to cut some wood.

The only thing I can figure is that somebody is paying Gypo to bash Ed and his saw building business. But I got news for ya Gypo, it ain't working. The only thing you've managed to do is lose friends here at ASite. Other than your three stooge buddies, take a look and see who else has anything bad to say about Ed. Sorry but you lost this one and you've shown your true disgusting character. Now get out of Dodge and crawl back under the rock from which you emerged. No one misses you here. And as soon as Ed's forum is up and running you will see just how unpopular your actions have been.

Nice try, you're just pissed because you and the goof troop got banned over on the Hotsaw Forum.
Your input here is about as significant as the bondo on your rusted out bucket truck.:dizzy:
What happened to your mentor and saw builder Dozer Dan? The same thing that happened to your new mentor and saw builder Head Terd. Too much BS.
Hahahaha

Of course we know it doesn't. Some people are stupid. They haven't figured out that if they 'win' by cheating, they haven't really won anything.
(No more than if they went to a pawn shop and bought a trophy.)

Well, except the right to be spit on. They've certainly earned THAT.

That is the same with you and Frank. You would like everybody to beleive
That you know every thing there is about racing. But alot of us know that is not true.Unless you have learned alot from last year.I am glad that you get along with EHP.Maybe you can get him to show at Blind River. There are gonna be alot of the guys from down here showing up there.I see you been working on an 026 all winter. Are you gonna be racing that there?Let me know what classes you and frank are running.I will be sure to have saws to run in them classes. We are building a saw for Kevin for that show. You know Kevin correct? Kevin also agreed to have a chain race this year.I see Frank on here telling how to file this would be a good place to find out how good he is.Heck who knows maybe you can get one of EHPs chains to race.Or better yet get him to race it!!! Anyway I think this should be a good race.E.J. just got a new 50cc saw just for that race.

The rabid racers sure do an excellent job of maintaining their image in peoples minds. They manage to appear half civil for a bit but it is not long before they are back at trying to elevate themselves by putting someone else down. Ah well, that aint gonna change.

Frank do you feel I put you down? All I am trying to say is bring your best
saws and chain. This is all in fun

Now he is being civil, Lol! If I was interested in racing 50 cc class I don't think I would base it on an 026 woods saw or enter my 71 cc Husky woodsaw in the 80 cc class. Lets see now you want to come up here with Helsels race saws and compete with me. Gosh I guess someone better buy me some race saws too!

Because I speak well of EHPs work ( any naysayers of note? ) and have a 2 of his saws I am a target of some sort. I can do a decent job of square filing and have been willing to help others who want to learn. Can I make fantastic race chain? You seem to think so. Why don't you come to the fun get together at Playinwoods next week end.

Fun! thats my game, not hate!

I have been putting my time in. Is far as the Ed thing, we get along fine, thats it, he is into building saws and a selling a service, I am into learning about saws and doing my own thing, rather than racing a saw someone else built. So that puts things at arms length.

This is just a interesting stop along the road of life for me, I don't try to make out to anyone I know something I don't, however, if I can help someone out with something I have learned great. I know first hand how tough it can be to figure stuff out on your own, and I thank those willing to share their experiences an knowledge.

My 260 is nothing at all right now, I doubt I will even run it at the GTG maybe piped on alky for fun. I have messed with the saw a lot and learned a lot, but I think I would be into a new jug and piston and start over on a few things to make a contender out of it. I started the 260 before I had a clear idea of the final numbers I want to have, that is my mistake, I think many fall into that trap. Any way I have other projects on the go that have gone better.

Don't know what the classes will be but looking forward to BR and maybe some other small time shows if time permits, got a lot of other things to do with my life also.

At least I'm not calling anybody stooges. Besides that, we're not only coming up to race you, there are going to be a lot of other people there, too. You ask why I do not go to the gtg. The reason for that is I feel that the rules for any race cannot be set by one person, let alone the same person picks your wood, and furnishes you with the fuel he wants you to run. Don't you think it would be more fair to race at a race where there are classes set up? When you talk about a woodsport saw, where do you draw the line on it? This is all going to turn into racing stock appearing saws anyway. If you have one judge that is going to determine whether your saw is woodstock or not and his are all running legal I think that would tell you why we would rather race at a regular race where 0-5 cu. in. and a 5 cu. in.and over. So think it over Frank.

Oh Rick! you are talking about the nitty gritty of racing; suggesting shenanigans can and have been pulled! Well who'd a thunk it?

You think everything is evolving to stock appearing race saws: when there is so much acidic rivalry over counting coup, even at get togethers, I would expect you are correct. When there gets to be staged agendas to discredit one builder over another, it tells you there are some pretty strong emotions running in people all over cutting with a chainsaw. I mean it is practically as bad as drug dealers turf wars! People get their whole identity wrapped up in it. I have found it a rather recent interesting diversion, but it sure is not everything I am about.

Well at one time or another, I've learned something from all of you; but, this eternal peeing contest that bad mouths one another is boring as :censored: And frankly does not enhance the reputation of anyone or the AS site. I wish you could all 'get the train back on the track' and talk constructively about saws and chains, whether it be woods or racing.
