Yes , that looks like the same HD air filter that came on my 1995 044 . The woven cloth needs to be oiled after it has dried .

There's nos ones on Ebay ,and plenty of used ones out there. The 441 ones are hard to find.

I looked at all the 044 ones on ebay. NOS are an arm and a leg and the used ones are a mess. I have a spare one for a 441 from the first 441 I bought that turned out to be a wreck.

the one on my good 441 does not have captive nuts. it is not an mtronic.

couple of questions. have these 2 filters. one was on this saw and the other was on the parts donor. which one is better and why? the one on the right looks kinda like a K&N type.
