Any progress on that ol Lombard?

IDK why, but I forgot to take pictures of the NOS Mercury DA-211 I saw the other day. Never seen wood in its life! Original, never sharpened scratcher chain, even the sticker on the bar..
I even had the camera in the truck. Ill get a picture of it next year I hope.

I picked up this big old beauty on the weekend - an IEL / CC Engineering MA. This machine was the predecessor of the Australian CC Engineering 'Bluestreak' two man chainsaws. The MA was renamed the 'Bluestreak Major' MA, and the IEL name on the ID tag was removed. Early 'Bluestreak' MA saws still featured IEL decals on the left and right hand sides of the fuel / oil tank assy.

This machine will clean up well, and hopefully one day will run again. Everything is free, which is a great start.

Regards,

Chris.

I support thee! The two man giants are the predecessors to every modern saw we have today, and they should be remembered. There are alot of great posts in this thread, and it would be nice to keep it fresh.

Just my two cents worth.

Chris.

Man you guys are lucky out on the West side. All those long bars! My Mall 7 has the longest bar (close to 4' I think). The DA-211s will clear 32" I think. The Mac 7-55 I cant remember, but is a well balanced unit! If I can get the primer to quit hangin up, I think I can make a cut by myself!!
KB-6 hasnt been messed with in a while. But thanks to IGPOE, I have the transmission I need. Now just need a bar. It had a super modified Mac hard nose :jawdrop:

Nice finds Paccity and Chris!!

I got to hang on the dummy end of a Bluestreak last week! See if I can go find the video...

Nice saws LP - getting to hang onto a running Bluestreak is certainly something you will not get to do everyday. I hope to begin working on mine soon to get them going again. That big chain throws the chips!
Your comment about the Mac 12-25 brought a grin. It reminded me to fire my Mac 99 as those carbs are something to behold, and I don't want it to go out on me! The DA-211 is a nice runner, and I hope to find a good example of one in the future. More than enough saws at the moment though!

Thanks for the videos,

Chris.

tell me how?

Go up to the green bar and click on Market, a box will drop down click on Market again.
Then go down to threads on the left side and click it.

You will then see sticky a thread, click it Copy and paste this link or just the numbers and paste in to the ID box.

You can PM a mod to have them move it out of the Chainsaw Forum and
in to the sticky Forum.

Then your done.

We made it!
Hopefully we can get some good contributions to keep this thread going.

Here is a huge old two man CC Engineering Bluestreak Electric chainsaw that I picked up some time ago. This is my heaviest unit - weighing in at 142lbs without its bar and chain. This machine still runs very well, and was previously used in a saw mill application.

Chris.

Thanks for the sticky status!! Didnt really feel that this thread would ever draw that much attention.

Only bad thing about 2 mans, is working by yourself :p and the amount of room they take up.

Thats a neat saw Chris!
