I guess I can check against a new chain and see!!
EDIT: I wonder whos going to be the first to tear into a 441?!
I wonder that too!!! There will prolly be a learning curve on that one!!!
My scale might be off on mine, but 55 seemed to match up to the RS chain much better than 60 did...
Just my preference, no need to start a pissing match war.... Remember I have the cheapo NT grinder...
I just heard from Dave. My saw arrived this afternoon. He checked the compression for me straight out of the box and it was an amazing 180psi! I'm thrilled and surprised. My guage only measured 135psi and that's why he checked it for me right away. Quite needless to say, I'm shopping for a new guage. The one I have is a KAL Equi 2504. It has a schrader valve right at the guage. Isn't that what I need? What model have you guys found to work well and be dependable without spending an arm and a leg?
It looks like this here, only they're not showing the schrader valve on the guage. Mine has one. Perhaps it's on the back side in this pic.
I haven't ever used the adapter. Hmm.

It doens't matter if you have a valve at the gauge - you need one at the tip that screws into the spark plug hole. If you can't see it right there, it's not useful for your saw needs.
I paid less than $20 for mine at the local autoparts store. It doesn't even have a name on it. You don't have to spend much to get the right type...
you did take some cuts BEFORE you had it modded, right? I am almost as excited as you about this! put some videos up when you make your cuts!!
I was impressed with a 360 and a muffler mod. I'm hoping for a saw with the weight of a 360/361 and the power of a 440 or 460. From what I hear, just a muffler mod alone gets it close to a stock 441.
