What is the best way to get ahold of Dave N.??

FWIW When I had my 361 ported I found that it was slightly faster than a MS440 with equal or better torque. Basically on par with a Husky 372 which is nearly identical to a Stihl 460 in performance.

FWIW my DN 361 was knipping at the heels of a modded 372 at the GTG in Indiana last weekend.

If a mod 361 is close to a mod 372 either the wood is puny or the 372 isnt that hot.

18"-19" Hickory....

I believe my 361 was 17 seconds and the 372 was 15 seconds. I had a 20" bar with RS chain and an 8 tooth sprocket. I know the 372 had a 24" bar...not sure on the chain or sprocket.

The builder of the 372 is well known. Im not saying he did a bad job because that 372 really talks, Im saying this to show what potential the 361 has.

A couple pics...

CaseyForrest's Dave Neiger MS361 ran close behind the modded 372 that was in attendance. One damned strong little 12lb saw!!

Handled with a lite touch, Luke's saw was one VERY fast 372

nice pics

Good pics there Cassey. Looking at what you said I assume your quite happy with how the mods worked on your 361, cool beans to ya...

You really need to compare the two saws with equal chain/bar length to come to any sort of valid conclusion on performance.
BTW nice GTG wood. Beats the puny soft wood that some GTG's have used.

It was out of the box RS on the 372.

Thanks for letting run your saw Casey. Very nice saw, Big Dave does nice work. I talked to him the other day and he sounded very positive about your 441. Let us know how it turns out.

Got to go now and make rude phone calls to my Bear buddies!

It is only Money.....Buy one and find out for your self. And let me know how it runs....

Well I couldnt stands it no more Steve. Its only alittle money Right, they need to make saws cost more so I stop this ****. You want to know how it runs HA! Buy one. :D
