Lets see .40 x 1000 equals 400.00 plus 300.00 equals 700.00, hmmmmm, no can do, will need 500.00 for gas and another 500.00 for food and lodging. Will need advance payment as well and a 5 day waiting period for check to clear before I put the saws on my truck,LOLOLOLOLOL

Almost forgot, the stump, no 45 degree this time,LOLOL

Is that a polesaw and LADDER in the background?! Little geographic comparison here...I'm glad you made some "side money"...and in 'ole Veergeenea that may be commonplace, but around here you're a hack. A joker. Someone that comes in a lowballs the LEGITAMATE guys that HAVE insurance, that DON'T have to have a ladder and don't leave the mess for someone else to deal with. You know...the guys that make their LIVING doing tree work instead of selling saws. I'm sure your argument is "Well it ain't my fault that they're overpriced!" You'd be the first guy to scream if Stihl went to the box stores wouldn't you? "THAT'LL HURT MY BUSINESS!!" Think about it. What exactly was your course of action if you had fallen off your ladder or dropped a limb on you head? Or twisted an ankle? Did you let the homeowner know that you weren't properly insured and that THEY were liable for your actions and/or injuries/property damage. Glad you made a few bucks, but you should stay in the shop if you aren't properly equipped, and insured to do a job. Owning a chainsaw or two and having a pickup truck doesn't make you a tree service. It's jokers like YOU that make an honest, fair bidding company like mine LOOK overpriced. Jerks like YOU cost ME business. And you've got the balls to brag about all this business you've got lined up. How bout you go price TREE SERVICE insurance. Not landscapers insurance. Make sure you look into a 2 million dollar minimum policy. Wonder if that payment every month or six months or year has any effect at all on your price scale. Yeah...I thought it would. (To save you some time, our policy is over $1000 A MONTH. Paid every three months. With ZERO CLAIMS in five years.) Gee...no wonder we cost more.

FURTHERMORE!! I'm APPALLED that users of a PROFESSIONAL ARBORISTS FORUM would encourage this guys tactics!!!! PEOPLE LIKE HIM ARE NOT ONLY COSTING YOU JOBS, THEY ARE DAMAGING YOUR PROFESSIONAL FIELD BY DISCREDITING YOUR ABILITIES AND PRICING!!! They tell homeowners how GREEDY and overpriced you are. They tarnish your image and your reputation by slandering you to your clientel. What exactly do you think that does to your business? The site is ARBORISTsite, not Treecuddersite or Igottasaw.com. People, you have to be kidding me. Are there no professionals here anymore?

They sell lots of Kleenex over at the grocery store, you should stock up on some. Now if your done boo hooing let me ask you a question, what would you have charged to do that tree. Keep in mind the man choose not to hire a so called Pro for the reasons you stated, good you at least admit you overcharge,LOL

Yup thats a ladder in the background and a poleprunner, good to know you are so observant. I'm surprised however you haven't asked where are the chainsaws,LOLOL

Hey. I was 30 feet up a ladder today (tied in).. with a saw.. Wish I'd thought of taking the pole saw along. Guess I'm just another hack too

Making friends are we BIGUGLY?????????

LOL, its ok, I deal with his kind all the time. Oddly though he is full of BS and its simple as to why. Since when does a fine man from Va take business away from some guy in Ohio, hmmmmmmmmm. I'll buy him Kleenex and send it but he'll have to pay shipping, its a whole case, hope its enuff, wink!

Shame on you,LOL. Big has no clue why the ladder is even there. Should I tell him, he'd be surprised but screw him, I'm his problem, he's not mine...

But gee, I thought competition was good.

LOL, depends if your competing and I'm not. Just a little tree job. I do probly a 50-100 or so a year. I guess if I was undercutting bids I may be frowned upon by the so called Pro's but the people I cut for come to me. I don't advertise, don't have to. I'm well known around town and but unknown in Ohio,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Let me guess... the ladder is just in case you slip and hurt your ankle, and then it's an ambulance stretcher? lolol

Its there to make Big's insurance go up after I fall off it,LOLOLOL See in the tree game all accidents go againist the whole market. Big should thank me, I didn't fall and raise his rates.

Fact is we used the ladder to rope the tree and pull the thing over. Risky business I know, awfull dangerous 10 feet up tieing a rope,LOL
