The wire from the coil to the stop switch is "A-96378 ground lead". It has a straight female terminal at the coil and a 90 degree female terminal at the stop switch. Would be pretty easy to make your own.

Hi Tim
agree on the 5-30 family...but I think 5-30N.
From what I have read...5-30 is pressurized fuel tank and the 5-30N is a normal/later carb with a impulse driven fuel pump.
I don't see the same fittings on the top of pix tank like my 5-30.
Others may know more or for sure.

I believe you're correct .Mine is a 5-30n for sure it dose not have the line to pressurize the tank .But my 26-lcs dose have a line going to the tank

9XX series auto oilers

Anybody ever have issues with these oilers?
My VI922 doesn't want to oil. the manual oiler works well. Both oil pick up lines and filters are clean. All oil passages in both systems have been blown out and are free of blockages. The worn gear on the crank looks good as does the gear in the oiler.

Is the worm gear supposed to be a loose slip fit on the crank or should it be a little tighter?

Just fishing for a way to get this going.

Thanks

The oiler worm gear will be a slip fit on the crank until the clutch spider is tightened down.

Thanks Aaron. I guess I should have seen that. I'll keep looking and get it sorted out. I can never remember to keep pumping that manual oiler.

I see you're collecting all the large green torque monsters up. I don't think Ive seen the west coast guys talk about those much. Are you going to get strange looks when you show up with them?

I'm curious Joe. How many saws do you have in your collection? I know the ones that you restore would likely embarass the companies that made them originally.

Thanks Tim not sure over 50 :dizzy: at one point I had 175 wife flipped lol sold some traded some I have a large collection of Iel saws I wont part with and the same goes for my Homelite . :msp_wink:

Your "Homelite"? I sure hope you mean "Homelites". It takes a strong man to beable to resist getting more Homelites after they have just 1 in their saw collection :msp_wink:

Tim thats just a perfect amount . Any more than that is to much they take up way to much room lol I know . And when people come to see them you cant see half of them because they are bared :dizzy:

I know what you mean with the space. I have a whole pile of them laying on the dirt floor of my garage, and half of them run too :msp_scared:
