Good eye Aaron. The Poulan is a 306SA though...:msp_wink:

I saw the powersharp bits on the clutch cover. I have a late production 306A (electronic ign, non-governed carb). Strong, well balanced saw. 59cc and maybe a shade stronger than a Homelite SXL-AO. Your 306SA will most likely have the governed Tillotson HS. Same procedure to defeat it as on other governed HS carbs.

Yeah I got the carb covered......

I am not really a Poulan dude, so I looked up the 306 on Ebay. There are non running POS saws that have bids of $50. Poulan followers are hard core for sure.

There are enough 306's out there to give me a decent parts supply if I need anything.

That little roller nose bar is sweet, and to me adds quite a bit of value to the saw.

Legit and in damn fine condition, it won't be around too long if he drops $100 off the price to something a bit more reasonable.

Well Jim you were right. Its gone now and will be heading to Indiana soon as my daughter picks it up and gets it shipped. He was a nice guy and more then happy to deal.

My memory is a bit hazy but was that a big ole husky? Mayhap something in the 6 cube range?

You will not be disappointed with the performance if it runs as good as it looks.

Yep, thats the one. Got a better deal then what you suggested it would take for it to move out.

As for the performance, I'm well aware and I had a 1100 at one time. I have been looking for a 2100 as a replacement for some time as it has some needed improvements over the 1100.

when you get it make sure to share over in Norm's 2100/2101 thread.
