Dirty Beaver

I took the free eager beaver apart. Man was it a mess inside. I cleaned up the motor/carb assy. I don't see points anywhere... Is it electronic ignition?

The IPL for 600123 I have shows points, they are in behind a small plastic cover under the flywheel.

Pointless Beaver

Here are a couple of pics of the Eager Beaver motor assy. I don't think it has points as the flywheel is one solid chunk, nothing behind it. Calvin said his IPL stopped at rev 10 as well so I take it rev 12 of this model is pointless???

You're missing the oil pump in that photo, did you take it off or was it missing when you took the saw apart?

How about a photo showing the flywheel and coil? I have a 2318 Eager Beaver that has the electronic coil, Pes+ may be able to help you find one if Calvin doesn't have it.

Coil is marked SEM Walbro type AM 32

Auto oil pump mounts to the round boss on the cases...

Only if the boss is machined for it. My EB 2.0 is manual only as well.

Any thoughts on the no spark situation? Is there a way to test the coil business?

I cannot recall if the boss is machined on my Mac 110.

If there is no spark your module may be toast...I had one go bad for no good reason on my PM700.

Am I correct that mine is electronic ignition and not points. Does anyone have an IPL for a non-point version?
