couldn't find an 88DL chain in 3/8, .058 but I found this and just ordered it for 32.25 shipped.
Oregon 73DPX089G 3/8 pitch .058 89 DL Semi chisel VersaCut
Buy any chain you want send it to me and I'll shorten it. Ive got a spinner and make my own loops.

that's a generous offer. I think the one extra link will work as I'm on the front half of the adjustment with the 88 DL chain. if not, I may take you up on it. thanks. the blue sharpie marks are where the mounting studs are with the current chain.

Ed sent me some things along time back and they came in real handy today :)
She's back in action. All this 10-10S talk got me hot under the collar 20221023_190720.jpg20221023_190728.jpg
I hadn't had a spare fully adjustable carb and this thing needs it. It loves to wind up high rpm.

Soooo.

I found this under my bench

I believe it to be a 3-10 dsp. I could be wrong. It's a dsp older style. It's 54cc it's right hand start.
Anyway had an sdc 2 so I light fingered it and threw a kit in it

Had to do some rangi things

Fuel line was torn so improvised and ring ting ting she's away again

but I think the trigger was a little sluggish before I even connected the linkage rod.
Make sure the snubber that holds the choke and throttle linkages together is installed correctly and not somehow binding or creating interference/resistance.

looks like it was buried in the mud for a while. :)

this is interesting. both with 20" bars and full fluids. 20lbs 3oz vs 17lbs 4oz. 57cc vs 61.5cc. both saws likely late 90's production.

I was wrong about the trigger being sticky on the 10-10S. I put in a new rubber seal that the throttle rod goes thru to the trigger and the dry rubber was grabbing the throttle rod. pulled the trigger and sprayed some silicone on the rod and its perfect.
Lol, had that happen once. That little.rubber boot......

Today was a saw day on the farm....not your typical chainsaw though. What i did today was operate a timberking 1600. Yes its mine. Ive had this guy for nearly a decade. Little longer i think. Always wanted one since high school but could never afford one. Well, yrs went by at the ace hardware i worked then the carbon black plant, then the utility company. Just married and we both worked no kids yet and i got a "scratch and dent sale card" in the mail. Talked it over and yes was the answer. Got a loan and called them. All out of those ones he said.....darn it. I said well im a buyer. He said ill sell you a new one at the same price. We worked out the details and a month or so later it rolled in the driveway. Its a lot of work but a lot of fun also. Been at it all weekend. Still have an endless pile of logs. I could cut every day for a month and not get the woods cleaned up. But anyway...heres a picture of it.20221023_105410.jpg20221023_105426.jpg

I have an 034 Super and they are quite a good saw , but the 036 is the 3rd permutation of that saw at its biggest cc, now compared to the 70cc macs it would have a hard time out cutting them.

nice! that could def keep you busy. I watch the "out of the woods" YouTube guy quite a bit. he cuts some beautiful slabs. I have that same Kohler CV750 motor on my zero-turn lawnmower. they just keep running.
