If you are looking to spend less than CPR wants for that nice 55, I would recommend looking at McCulloch 250 saws, or 1-43, or other 80cc direct drive saws.

IMO, the 87cc, 99cc, 103cc and larger saws have been going for crazy money lately.

Hey what about me? :(

I've already got a little green waiting for a good project, it don't have to be a pretty saw, as I like that "working saw" look. :)

Still saving up... can't wait for my next project. :)

and now crp is driving up prices on the 82cc McCullochs.

I'm happy I got what I have without spending the big bucks.
Until yesterdays expenditure, my collection was solidly in the black.
The 800 is very nice, a little too new and a bit redundant. I'm on the fence, if it wasn't for bailing out a friend, I might have let it sit.

I haven't made it to the shop today, with the stress and lack of sleep, I'm tied up with arthritis. I'm fighting it with mega asprin, being lazy and now imbibing joint lubricant.
I'm going to pop up to the Mac Clan page after while, got stuff for the trade thread.
PM610 and other esteemed brothers of the yellow fever cult, I'm not ignoring you, I'm thinking.
Well, ok, get it over with......it is kinda noisy up there, I think a bearing is going out

That bearing going out is probably the reverb of the water pump bearing exploding on my Maxima... :D

Seriously, that bearing literally was more than toasted, there was about 3/4" back and forth play at the pulley... pretty crazy, when I opened the hood to see what went wrong, the belts were slinging coolant five feet out of the engine bay. I thought "Oh :censored: Do I try to drive home?" A sceond later I said ":censored: it, let's see how far I make it before the engine loses all of its coolant." Well, I made it the 5 miles home. :) I was never both proud and mad at my car, lol. Temp gauge never went above 1/2. Normally it runs about 1/4. :)

Okay, back on McCullochs... hopefully I get that fuel line tomorrow... :D I am really itching to run this beast and cut more wood with it. :)

Already into it for more than that and I've got the engine right...

Boat anchor's don't ship free...

F it! It stays.

After all, I'm made of money, right?:monkey:

No you aren't... the only way you get money is by shipping the saw to me for proper disposal, and I don't pay you for the disposal, you pay me...:monkey:

I had a little green saved up then I went and bought a long loop of .404 luckily the old fellow only charged me .36 cent a driver instead of the $1.10 his computer told him to charge me, would have put me over $90 for one chain.

I hate working on cars. Tune ups and tinkering is ok, leaning over fenders isn't much fun.

I don't blame ya. I swear worse than a sailor when I'm working on something like a newer car where the stuff is packed into the engine bay.

I like to see the ground, thanks car engineers...

Every one of the vehicles we have, except the Taurus, you can see the ground through the engine bay. I hate how car manufacturers today cram all of that stuff into the engine bay, heck, people used to be able to change their oil, but now most don't dare to, as the filter usually is way up hidden in the engine compartment.

Your Ranchero, by far, would be one of the easiest vehicles to do work on, as there literally is a "crap ton" of room around and in between parts. I hope to open my own shop someday, dealing only with particular cars, like VWs, Hondas, classic american cars, Nissans, Datsuns, BMWs, and more, they would all be within a certain year group, and it will also hopefully be a dyno tuning shop, with plenty of performance modding going on. :)

Wow, we're getting off topic...

Back on topic: I like the Super Pro 125. :)

Gimme 'til the end of the week. This is the chassis for a project of mine, but I won't need the engine from it.

You want 6ci? I like your enthusiasm, you won't refuse the price.

Check your PMs.

Even if it was in a rubber grommet, not cemented into the hole? Is there another type of tubing we could use?

I haven't built one yet because I got a good hose from a member here, but I am going to make mine out of aluminum. Make it a .001 press fit inside the tank hole and use a stud/bearing mounting compound on it during installation. Put it in the freezer before installing it. Hit the tank with a heat gun for a few seconds and the frozen bushing will slide right in. Once it all returns to normal temps, it's all sealed up and ready for regular fuel line. :msp_thumbup:
Drill the I.D. the correct size to make your hose seal.

Can a gear case be fitted on a 250 super?
(if so, what gear case is needed {1-80's or 890's})
