1) How do you detach the coil from the laminated frame? Is it just epoxied at the back? I am working on my SP70 project. The SP70 coil mount is different from the 700 electronic coil but the frame has the same dimensions.

2) I have never used JB Weld. I have two flywheel cover 10/24 screw holes stripped on my 805 project. I can get to both the front and back of the holes. I know I have to clean the surface. But do I drill the holes out any larger, or just stuff them full of JB Weld from the back side and re-drill and tap them after the JB Weld cures?

Thanks, Ron

Some of those yellow coils have what looks like a bent over gap gauge and you just pull it out and it releases the coil. I think they go by vendor, some have different methods of retention.

Never a wasted day so i rekindled my PM1000 giving the old gal a bit more oomf along the way

Hs a two piece head again made by one of my American friends and fitted with a Tilly HL 293 and a few mods internally

Boredom is a pain ................. McBob.

Where is the cord on that toaster Bob?

I need a muffler to fit the PM850, I have a NOS 800 muffler but it won't work on the 850. As Ron shows in his photo, the 850 muffler has two screws that fix it to the exhaust port like all on the 10 Series saws and two that fix it to the side of the cylinder.

Thanks for trying anyway.

Mark

I see the brat got his ass banned, I guess we need to demote him to Chief broom pusher.

Mark, I'll hang on that muffler, who knows someone might need it someday. I'm putting a reed/box on my 82cc project.

Yep. That puts him back at Shop Monkey (Chief Broom Pusher and Garbage Can Dumper) status. Wonder if he'll be back. This is his second trip to camp correct?

I may have a line on a PM805 somewhat local to me. I hear it's "apart in a box" and it's unclear what's "wrong" with it. Hmmm........

Saws apart in a box can be fun. Hope you get a good surprise. Ron

So do I. I hope that the most it needs is a piston and rings. IIRC my NOS cylinder will only work on the PM850 and earlier 82cc saws...................and it's already slated to go into the locked up SP-81 that I got recently. Will post up if anything comes of this lead.

Maybe Kyle should be assigned a probation officer when he returns. I don't think it is his MAC posts that gets him banned. Ron

He is definitely not lacking conviction. Remember how he attacked me for owning a GMC truck..... Not that I cared, but it showed how he can fly off the handle. Probably got into trouble in the off topic forum.

He does get spun out too easily. In one of the "Ethanol sucks" threads he got into a major pissing match with a few guys recently. Then there was the time he ranted here about how stupid his dear mom was for daring to move his chainsaw parts that he'd put on the kitchen counter. We gave him a ration of #### for that one.....

The last saw in a box I tackled was a Husqvarna 55 Rancher. Put it back together and it runs fine. Makes me wonder why someone took it apart.
