Sorry to hear the bad news on the 346. I beat the whee out of mine Thanksgiving morning and it performed great. I kept it below 16" lumber, though.

I saw a post by Bailey's that they have a small shipment of new 372's in for $589 (powerhead only).

Are you on good terms with Santa?
Just be aware that those are a what look like a quite heavy West coast special version, with the engine from the 375 cutoff saw, probably for EPA reasons......

It's all good, like I say it cut better on the bigger stuff, just hated cutting off the little limbs for some reason!!!

The 372 is a bit heavy for what I am after, I would just run the 046 all the time, if I could afford to feed it fuel all the time, Jeez that thing gets thirsty!!! Really lie to stay around the 12 pound mark with 4 plus hp.

Santa's not likeing me too much right now, gotta buy new tires for the trailer after yesterday, kinda cutting into the fun money a LOT!!!!!

Yes Troll, the 361 is looking better all the time, just too much moneyright now!

sawinredneck, what about a Johnny Red 2156? The Husky Johnny Red thing has me puzzled. I like the way the 353 feels a little better then the 2152. But I like the way the 2159 feels a little better then the 359. I have no idea why. Both Husky's have the same handle bar angle and both Johnny Red's have the same handle bar angle! Just something to think about. You've giving me some great advise, just trying to return the favor! Good luck.

I have no problem with the Johhnies, just no dealers in the state of KS!!! Yes I know that it's the same thing as a husky, but explain that to the moron behind the parts counter!!!

No, I am really mad at myself right now for not boxing up the 262 and sending it to Freak for alterations!! But such is life, so the search goes on!!

while I'm not arguing the weight, the engine is not the same as the cutoff saw. It does have a 1mm bigger bore than the current 372, but the port timing was changed from the cutoff saw. GD at bailey's said it is a differant part # (cylinder and piston) I have one that I built with a modded 375 cylinder and it runs better than any other 372's I have.... LOL.

I don't blame you for not getting one if there aren't any dealers around!

Yes, it is ported differently, otherwise it would't match the performance if the ordinary 372s......
