Well, if we're all naming our favorite Poulan colours (notice the "u" in colour) I'm gonna say I'm partial to the orange used in the Canadian Poulans. Man they look sweet with the black chain brakes! I'm also a sucker for the red and black Craftmans!

Yes we know your eccentric!

When I say love for for lime green, that means Poulan! I don't really care about colors myself. My wife says" I want a Bisque colored dishwasher", I say Ok, I don't give a ratts ass about it. LOL

She trys to pick out the color of he new to her car and I say, no, we get the best deal on the car, I don't care what color it is as long as its a Ford. You know what I mean?

Personally I like ugly saws that pull hard, they can keep their shelf queens.

Your right about that Nik, that little orange 3000 Canadian that I got from Bob sure is a looker isnt it?

I think I need to bring that one to Greggs, don't you? Its a sweet runner as well.

Nik, I think the real reason you like them orange & black Poulans, is they are Bengals colors!:hmm3grin2orange:

You know I was just pulling your chain a bit Mark. I'm a Ford man too (especially when the Ford is powered by an IHC diesel, like my 4WD '86 F250HD). Didn't Ford sell some blue/white painted Poulans? I know they sold some blue/white O&R Mustangs.

As for my 'lust' for Poulans...............I've been watching the CL ads for a nice clean red Craftsman 3.7 and whatever model the red Craftsman version of a S25DA is for quite some time. Seems they didn't sell many of either in my area during the red phase of Craftsman saws. Mostly uggo grey. My Craftsman 1.9/Poulan XX is red.

Almost got a cherry looking red/black micro with a case for $5.00 on CL a few months ago. Had a pick up time arranged and everything. Called the lady when I was about 10 minutes from her house and she said, "I'm glad you called, becuase I lost your number and my husband just sold the saw to a friend of his at work." Who the heck has their wife selling saws for 'em on CL anyways???

Gregg,

I can remember watching the 49'ers beat the Bengals in the Superbowl. That was back when Craftsman Poulans were 49'er RED!:D

Chris, you keep hanging around here, in a short time you will have so many saws theres no way you can use them all! Some will be shelf sitters like or not, Queens or not as well.

He's well on his way to that. His garage will look like mine soon...

I think I may have a red Craftsman/25DA in the back for a project saw that I may never get to.

Give you any ideas?

I've got 13, so far, and 5 seem to really get used a lot. Husky 480, PM700, 306a and now the 245.

I've already got shelf sitters, though and likely will have more. An ever revolving cast of saws goes through the shed though, that's for sure.

The more I deal with folks on here I find that most guys average somewhere around 50 years old. I'm 24. Now, my wife, my neighbor, my mother have been telling me I'm like an "old man" for a long time. "You drive like an old man, blah blah blah."

A man has to have his hobbies, thats for sure. An hour in the shed a couple nights a week after work really helps ease the mind.

Did i hurt your feelings by not bending over backwards for you? The guy that bought it, probably doesnt have 30 saws and he actually needs it.

Well I for one, ain't ready to let this go by so easily,

Boy, there is an old saying that I will rephrase for use here that would go something like this..."Be careful that the toes you step on today aren't connected to the butt you have to kiss tomorrow to find out how to fix your saw"!!!

Now you have insulted, not only the main reference material of this thread, but also a damned good friend of the vast majority of us!!!

If you intend to stay around here I would strongly suggest that you climb down off your high horse, tuck your tail between your legs and slink off into the corner for a while.

Since you have made it very plain that you don't like the parts availability of Poulan saws I have to wonder why you are still hanging around on the Poulan thread!!!

I will say without reservation that if you intend to stay here and be treated with any kind of respect and decency that you should keep a civil tongue in your mouth when speaking to ANY of the "regulars" around here!

Personally, I think you owe Mark an apology but I doubt if you are man enough to swallow your false pride and give it to him.

I resemble that remark.:dizzy: I turned 58 recently, have had just about every hobbie known to man. Havn't found a cheap one yet! Thought fiddling with saws wouldn't be a bad one. LOL guess again.

Yes it does indeed Mark. Does it have a good P/C? I don't need it.............but I do want it. There's a place on my shelf for just such a saw. That's right next to the XX. Now the question is........how do I get it to that place on the shelf?:D

Yep. It does indeed ease the mind. I'm 37, and am one of the younger guys here (at least amoung the 'old saw' nuts). I've always been more comfortable around 'older' friends, especially now that 'older' means folks in the 40's, 50's, 60's, and above. So much more wisdom and experience (and less BS) to be had. Jeez Chris, you're only 24???:D

Thats ok Mike, I just had to know if there was a 8500. I'm sure more then ever there never was one.

I doubt if he comes back, Randy gave it too him pretty straight as well. We still got lots of great guys here with more great guys coming all the time.

Guys that dont try to BS each other.
