Now I've got to build something! My neighbor dumped an old Weedeater on me because he knows I've been playing with engines since I was a kid. The trimmer is junk except for the little 25cc 2-cycle engine and it is just begging to serve some other purpose.

I'm collecting ideas here...what can I use this little engine for? Have any of you seen saw/trimmer engines used as a power unit for any unusual projects?

I've already got a 427 Chevy powered can opener and a bar glass cleaner with a small block! :ices_rofl:

Whatdaya think?

How about a wheel chock? :) just kidding, add a clutch and drill chuck and make a cool gas powered drill.

Good question and I'll be watching the answers. I have a little 31cc Honda 4 stroke I bought off Craigslist. Someone backed over the shaft. :deadhorse:

That's Just Cool Andy!

Water-cooled too!

My old boss had an RC boat powered by a trimmer powerhead... A vee-hull offshore racing style, probably 1/8 scale (it was about 4'-5' long.)

I never saw it run, but it looked like a hoot...

Hmmm maybe that FS360 powerhead might have another calling???

Make a gas powered blender to mix margartis & daquris with, those are really cool. Matt

If you are going to build something make a RC aircraft or helicopter... Mount a camera and radio transmitter... then you can spy on those young ladies sunning or donning their swim suits... :jawdrop: :jawdrop:
Maybe not; hard to pilot RPV one handed. ;)

I want to know how much $ that guy makes on e-bay or how he gets those SMOKIN' ladies to pose for him for free!

Hows about.........

A miniature jet drive for a canoe? :D (I'm tinkin' with the exit/propulsion garden-hose mounted on a small tiller?)

A gas powered skill-saw? (Is da hand really faster than da saw)

A vibrating lawnchair? (with N2O kit for partys)

Power Gramp's rocker? (Kk pops, I'll find yer teeth!)

A little gen set and/or mini compressor? (for those 'I don't know what the heck ta do today.' days)

And lastly (probably not), a teeny-weenie chainsaw! Hey, what better use I ask ya, you could start a whole new class, 20cc and under hot saws! :D

Okayyyyyy, just shootin' from da hip anyhoo, a gas powered icecream maker......... thats it......fer now.

(a RC speedster of some sort is the one me likes best btw)

:greenchainsaw:
