That`s a really nice P60, looks little used and from that Boyesen sticker it may have the high perf reeds installed.
Is that saw from Stillman Valley?

i'll keep my eye out for another for you, unless I win that P62.The cylinder is in nice shape. The piston has a little carbon on it and those skinny rings worry me a bit. I'll have to check the compression. Is it going to hurt?Kevin- nice saw! If I found one of those it would complete my line of 6 cube Pioneers. Looks to be in great shape, how's the cylinder?

I agree. That looks like a dandy. The extra sticker on top?? Has someone changed the reed?? You'll need a 32 or 36 to make work. It will play with the 24
Thanks, I do feel like a proud new father. As the old lady who watched me as a child would say...."Lawd, Child!" That sho is a purdy saw!!!!!!!

Thanks, yes it's from Stillman Valley. Real nice guy. He said people kept lowballing him. I offered him 180. and he drove 45 minutes to meet me.
high performance reeds, sweet.kev1n

Yes, mine has .058 gauge chain. It has 71 DLs and seems like a nice fit. Maybe we can get a count of people that need loops and get Bailey's to buy that 100' roll.Looks nice Kevin! It's nicer than the one I got earlier this year, and I thought it looked pretty good for it's age. That thing sure didn't spend it's days rattling around the back of a pickup.
Mine's got the 24" Pioneer bar as well. Is yours also the oddball .058 ga chain? Hard stuff to find, but it's out there.
Large mount Husky bars don't take a lot of modification to work. I haven't done mine yet, but I've got a 34" .375 bar and 8 pin rim ready for it, just gotta get the old girl singing in tune before I worry about the bar.
Can ya count the chain links on yours? Mine came with 2, one is 69 DL, the other is 72dl. Both are about the same length, and the 69 is about wore out, so I'm thinking it got shortened due to stretch. The 72 looks to be new or very close to it.
My mind is at ease now on the rings, I'm happy you thought it was a bargain. I've never spent over a 100. for a saw before. I couldn't let this one get away though. I can't wait until it gets better.Don't worry about those thin rings, they'll last a long, long time. I have a feeling that saw is only going to get better:biggrinbounce2:
Oh, and by the way, you stole it for $180!
Thanks Arrowhead, you probably didn't need 3 anyway I'm already in love with it, I can't get the thing off my mind.Nice saw Kevin! I e-mailed him a few days ago about shipping it, but never got a response. It was a little too far of a drive, and I been super busy lately. Congrats, you will love it.
Also I bought 2 new Pioneer 28" bars (big black Pioneer block letters on the sides) these are .404 .63 gauge with replaceable tips do they fit any other saws or only Pioneer ?
I looked at a Pioneer 400 today that I can buy, not a lot of info available for this saw and looks like it was only made for two years 1958~1959. Is it mostly impossible to get parts for these ?
