Ya, just got to know the right guy!! Didn't take me long to find one. I got one for my basically parts saw RA, its complete now but locked up, was missing the top cover, the cover I got for it though is the style with the medallion and its missing.

I have never seen such a scarcity of them covers, I have picked up 2 complete RA`s in the last 4 months and got them up and running making 5 in my collection but I will not turn down another if it comes my way.

Dang, 5 running RA's!!!!! Maybe one day, I'll make a runner out of my other one. I'm hoping its just the piston that's frozen in there, the idiot previous owner hosed it down, and I'm sure that's why its frozen.

Another RA without a top cover. Apparently those top covers are hard to find. I heard a story of a guy that had one with the fabled `medallion` that he traded straight up for a 10% share in Microsoft. Probably an urban legend. Legend has it he misses the top cover.:smile2:

I know a guy with a spare cover without the medallion if you need one. Get Jerry to post a couple more pictures of his restored RA and I `ll see if I can get the guy to part with the cover.

Thanks MM! (Assuming it runs). I will be starting on the RA soon - same thing, from the bottom up. It's in a little better shape than this one.

Hey, question - did all the RA covers have both the emblem and the Pioneer writing? There are three holes on mine - I assume where the lettering was mounted.

Tell ya what, find one of those covers with both the medallion and the chrome Pioneer logo on it in mint condition,..hell even if the Pioneer logo is still intact and see what that will bring you...LOL

There are two different covers for the RA`s, one has both the medallion and the chrome Pioneer logo and the other just has the cast in Pioneer name in raised letters on it.

Here is my 2, you can kinda see the top cover on the green one. The other is well, my POS RA, I do have the top cover for it now though.
