I've got an aluminum boat to get rid of... was going to scrap it but maybe another raised bed for my daughter in law is an option... Just sent a photo to my son! Need some landscape fabric to line the bottom after drilling a bunch of drain holes!
No drain holes here, just have it pitched uphill slightly and the drain plug pulled.

If needed I can drill holes later.

I wish I remembered to take pictures the last time I was out before they sold the ranch. Me an Gary(wife grandpa) spent a lot of time up in the mountains fixing fence and getting his ramp pump working again. Just beautiful country. Always woke up just feeling alive and invigorated. If I ever hit the lotto I'm out of PA and back to trout creek.

What part of the park is that in? I cant remember. We hiked to Quartz Lk. on the West side. Camped there overnight. The lake was like that. Cast out a small spoon and could see it on retrieve. Saw a dark object follow it. Stopped retrieve and the spoon fluttered down.... and then wamm! Nice 16" trout.

I had a bunch of little jobs to do today, and one of them was to till down the weeds in the garden that I decided to "fallow" this year.

Letting a garden spot lay fallow helps restore the soil’s natural nutrient balance. Giving the land a rest can also get rid of crop pests, since they don’t have anything to munch on.

Only thing planted in it, was garlic that was planted last fall and that soon will be dug, and I did plant one hill of squash in it.

Tilling the weeds down will get them to "compost" out, to feed next year's plants.

I am not sure I know how to call it quits, considering all but 1 of my saws were passed down or freebies from the trash. As long as used and NOS parts are available on eBay I will keep using and fixing them. Just used a Super XL auto that was from a good friend of my dads yesterday.
Bought another powerhead and found an upper shaft in very good condition. 😆

My garden has been in the exact same spot for many, many years. It's long overdue for me to do the same thing.
