Those tonnages I quoted are only for split and nicely stacked firewood. It is not the density of it.

The density of Australian timbers 12% moisture content is typically between 900kg/CM to 1250kg/CM....so as you can see very different to how it is sold when stacked as firewood.

That would be about right
Green from a tree felled that day I am lucky to get 3/4 of a meter on the back of the hilux for a tonne over the weighbridge. Sitting for a couple of years I can easily get 2.0 meters on for around the same weight. I have weighed a few loads just to be sure.

I used to cut and stack at the stump and cart it home a couple of years later but had at least 30 meters pinched a couple of years ago and haven't been able to catch the *******s yet so am cutting and carting home straightaway at the moment. Lost four meters out of a dry log in April AND the trailcam I had watching it. Gives me the shites.

Ended up on the wrong site !

There are two 142's in the same street and both are construction sites !

They are about 600m apart.

The foreman at the first site asked was I the a/c guy and inducted me, showed me to the roof and i had my tools out when the real air conditioning blokes turned up.
Then the penny dropped for the foreman !

It's happened to a heap of tradies and deliveries.

I blame Google maps !

Ile never forget the dune coon that came to get work done on his car and while he was waiting he wanted to use our workshop dunny to bend over to Allah. I gladly pointed him in the direction of the shiters knowing I had just dropped a champion steamer in there. So off he toddled with his ata girl knee pads he was only in there about 30 seconds before bailing I guess Allah just was not that important after all
