Chinese safety sandals.

Yeah, well what aint made in China now.
Add up all the stuff in your house from the electronics, tv screens to car batteries etc etc
Most countries dont want big polluting factories so that is part of the reason China makes everything, not just on a cost factor.
Imagine trying to build a lead acid battery factory in California?

Yep. I know about mining and offshore drilling.
Man, what the companys have to go through with enviromental impact etc. In Vic, they dont want you drilling when the wales migrate, or you have to be out of their migratory zone
We have a whale watch register plus up north, looking out for boat people etc
Any spills have to be recorded.
Msds sheets and what chemicals we use recorded etc
It must do some companys in with the relevant legislation, documentation etc just to get started.
Aint none of that in China.
I remember when the olympics were on, glyphosate ( weed kill ) went up 4 fold as China is the largest maker of one of the ingredents and shut down factories while it was on.
Definately easier in my parents day, that is for sure.:bang:

The stihl 261 Cq QuickStop er fellas how does the quick stop feature work,, is it mechanical or electronic ?? looked at one could not figure.
I do like the captive bar nuts thats neat idea,,, do they foul or fail over time. Saw one today that comes fitted with tungsten rapid duro chain not so keen for myself but an idea for domestic users

They are a filthy setup. The rear handle safety feels like it's connected to the chain brake via a rubber band.
The Quickstop feature is more suited to situations where lawyers are involved.
The 261Q I used just felt like crap and the rear handle is very bulky because of it. A really awkward feeling setup even though I owned a normal 261. It changed the whole feel of the saw and they weren't a saw that felt that brilliant to start with.

It's some sort of front to back mechanical linkage, similar to a horse drawn cart and probably a design from a similar era.

If the Bentonite doesn't work just add more Bentonite :)
If no luck let me know and I'll sort some Polymer out for you.

Now thats a car. When do you pick it up Andrew .
Are you getting the upgraded tow and suspension package for hauling the firewood trailers
I guess you will put a roof rack on it for the saws , fuel and oil.
At least you should beat any competition to a sawing job.
Beware, mad max is out there, somewhere, in Gelong with a Stihl strapped to the roof. :msp_biggrin:

There was a small lump of wood behind the wood David was noodling, I tried to knock it out the way but I wasn't fast enough.
The funny thing is that my wife is a nurse and both my daughters are in St John but I couldn't find a decent size band aid anywhere in the house :bang: :)
