yep i keep 6 of em in me first aid kit tampons too nothing works on a stubborn nose bleed like a cork man them things can soak up a lot of blood but thats nothing new
did i just say that ps:
agree my 1st aid has them as well as baby nappy they are thick clean fast to apply and have sticky tabs set to hold for any hurt that needs big blood control and presser add to this a chemical freeze ice pak that will take away impact pain and and may help keep a digit amputation iced allow it to get the refitted.
now don't laugh but i keep a LOT of pepper in me kit now that stuff can clot anything but a arterial bleed
and no it don't sting have used it on several occasions but it will take some convincing the patient so do
it when they ain't looking just as good as quik clot
pepper,, neat idea. I was told spider cobwebs can help seal clot a bleed but a pak of pepper be way more easy as them KFC or Macca paks always about my car ta that 223 & i'm off to get some ballistic points as bloke from gun club has a few hundred spare to sell me..
Anyone else see the 090 on eb@y from down east Gippsland way? looks to be in good nick and comes with a dead 090 for parts.
Well i never heard of people keeping tampons and meds in thier first aid kit.
Learnt something new today
Almost sounds like you'se are coming out of the broom cupboard so to speak
Yeah accidents do happen but since i have been offshore, since 94 they shove safety down ya gob
Its not soo bad as some of the things i have done at home, most would cringe at doing but i think it out before i start and calculate the risks.
When people tell me they had an accident, most of the time , was it an accident from god or poor planing, communication on their part that has accumulated into an accident .
Especially when you retrace the chain of events prior to the accident.
The best case scenario is to think, what is the worst that could come from this job, and work backwards from there.
If working with others, make sure everyone is on the same page as yelling dont usually accomplish much but piss the other guy off.
Anyway, hope you'se dont need them tampons any time soon :msp_thumbup:
yep just got me self 1000 better stock up i think it will get hard to get stuff out of the us real soon
get some brass as well

Most people are not aware of the planning and strategic thoughts that go behind most activities. Especially chainsaw racing. Neil and myself are always thinking, considering and watching for potentials. In saying that, Neil will complete a risk assessment for each site that our club participates in/on. During the past 20+years that I have been involved with the club, there has not been any reportable accidents with chainsaws. We have public liability insurance in case a member of the public is injured from our activities, but members cut at their own risk.
Any behaviour that could potentially end in an accident or injury, we are usually right on it, hence this is why we started practice days to demonstrate and give learning to those who need corrective actions. With Neils experience and my former instructor/assessor in the RFS, we have covered things fairly extensively.
In talking with others involved in the club as members and competitors, they have had no idea of the lengths we take for safety.
Anyway, play safe, stay safe. Thinking things through is not hard. I hate hurting myself so I always think before doing these days.:msp_w00t:
Well said Bigfella.
This should make some debate happen..
