Have a look at what Yugoslavia is still serving up locally..... The bits I've heard from one of colleagues who is from Bosnia. And I'm sure the bits I've heard are the better parts. No wonder she reckons her 40's - spent in Aus, ate the best decade.

Stuff like having books stacked up in the unit windows to block shrapnel, the house the family was living in being blown up and her husband seeing it from elsewhere etc.

She once said after living without power or water for years, she had done enough "camping" for a lifetime......

I was their just prior to the war we were on the last commercial flight out of their my parents migrated from their in the 60"s gea I remember seeing the armies tanks etc scary sh@&! We can't even go back to our area as its riddled with land mines! Just imagine tanks lining up on a hill 500meters away! People here really dont realize how lucky we are, I think the immigrants from Europe had a mentality of how can we repay australia for a second chance where as the latest batch of immigrants think what can we get from australia!

Well written mate. You're the sort of guy they should be interviewing on the TV but they're too busy taking footage of some knob prancing around on the roof of a detention centre...

That's 180cm. I just thought I'd check what your budget was as brand new Whites Wires Heavy Duty steel posts come in at about $5.50-6.50 in packs of 200.
If you walk in to the average hardware store and buy a single 6 foot dropper you'll probably pay $10. In an agricultural store that sells a lot of fencing you'll get a WAY better deal.

Peter try gumtree! Bargins can be found on their now I have let everyone know my secret chainsaw finding place ;(

Thanks for that info but ive been looking every where so far with no joy
Regards Peter

Hey another thing to remember with droppers Peter is that there are also some very dodgey lightweight Chinese ones on the market that will bend when you look at them. The HD ones may be a bit more expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Ive seen quite afew of them, looks like everyone is after droppers at the moment , heap in Victoria but not much up my way

Star Pickets

+1 on buying decent ones, we got some cheapies and most are bent to buggery and the rest are rusted through after a very short period. wont make that mistake again when buying bulk. crap ones are fine for temp fixes and garden supports but useless for actual fencing.

im sure you know all this if youre buying that many mate, just thought id give my thoughts after recent experience!

I sold around $500,000 of wire/posts/droppers last year for vineyard trellising and you certainly don't want to supply dodgey droppers as it's a court case waiting to happen and/or a big financial loss when you have to replace them all.

evening gentlemen,,,,, its after 11.00 pm and 8 members on this thread.

and discussing fencing products.

Just finished doing race club stuff,,,, thanks to those race competitors who reinstated me to another 12 months of race association paper work.
