I think the reason why the Tsumura is slightly lighter is its a litlle narrower the the other two.GB Ti bar under Tsumura.
The marks you see on the bar is the reflectsoin of the tin roof.

It's a db5 well done and the vals an old wayfarer vc and so you lot also know now I'm not just a dumb pube in Canberra I'm a dumb mechanic instead who's hand brake is crook so his on cooking duty s home made venison bangers with creamy mash

Bloody hell and here I was thinking it's a DB5 like James Bond drove in Goldfinger then I thought nah, can't be.
You'd only be dumb in Canberra if you were a politician mate.

Did you shoot your own deer for the venison?

I just had a little bit of wee come out. Tsmuras are pretty.
They are a bit narrower than most other pro bars so you're right on the money there why they are a bit lighter. Now that you've had a look at the finish on one you'll realise what all the fuss was about :)

Ya nice well made bar allright, even the grinding in the groove looks good. Will see how it holds up,are replacement sprocket noses easy to get ?.
The bearing looks smaller than the GB.

Yeah new noses are easy to get. I have a heap here in .325", 3/8", and a couple in .404".
The noses seem to be pretty reliable but it would be a brave man to say a Tsumura's nose will outlast a Pro Top or Ti. GB has the best nose sprockets in the business.

A Mate pings heaps I shoot the odd one found to best way to deal with em is to snag em up I eat em at work at home in the bush anywhere really quick and easy

just got a little ebay purchase "Carroll Smith's Nuts, Bolts, Fasteners and Plumbing handbook" ....dont know if Ill understand half of 3/8ths of it, but it will look nice in the bookshelf, plus when I opened it up its been signed by him.

Also hoping to have a little orange baby turn up soon....fingers crossed

I dont suppose anyone knows where to find an echo 750 evl air filter do they? or even who i should be asking?

Got a part number for what you want - make sure you don't get one of the nylon screens (snow etc) unless that is what you do want.....

Try googling the part number.... and also search ebay too.

I've found a place in the US that seem quite obliging - I'm after a felt filter for my Jonsered 2095 and google led me there through a parts search site. Will send detail offline.

chain breaker

does it take more effort than doing a bike chain? my 7/11 and fzr1000 went through DID x-ring chains like they were $50 specials so i was forever changing pretty heavy chains and just used a punch, will that work for a chainsaw chain, surely its similar technology? i never trusted the clip type, the bikes were good for 180mph+, not where you need to have a chain lock up your rear wheel!

It wont work for bike chain , similar technology but bike chain is a lot larger than chainsaw chain, I'm not going to wreck it trying to find out either :)

Punch!

haha! i meant will a punch work! ive never messed with saw chain too much, just changed loops. wondered if you need a press or you can just punch it.

I've often thought about getting a chain punch but just can't bring myself to spending 90 bucks when I have 7 grinders in the shed.........think I might have GAD

I used my new chain breaker for the first time today, It takes a fair bit of effort I'll have to find somewhere to mount it.
Also did an engine swap on an Oleo Mac 284, and replaced a bar stud on a mac 10-10.

Wayne all I did was weld a piece of 1/4" flat bar on its edge to the lower face of the punch so I could mount it in my vice works great
