Yeah they aren't cheap. Do you have room under the hood for another air-conditioner pump. Look up endless air - they make one or you can modify your own. I have also seen people use fire extinguisher bottles as air tanks.

yep fire extinguishers like we had at school years ago can't find one , i put a compresser in last year i've seen the aircon one put 40 psi in a 31x15 10.5 in 1 min there quick . don't have a compresser at home so i figure put one in the car i can use it to blow out the saws and filters bofore i go home

Bunnings has small 2hp compressors for $79 on sale, pretty cheap i think.

Yep, they make great comp tanks. I made a portable one but I will mount it eventually. I can fill it with the ARB pump at the same time I use it.

You can use the roll bar of your tray if there is enough area to store air and also the bullbar.

Don't forget the tyres Al, they hold air :msp_wink: haha

thanks al but roll bar whoever had it befor me drilled holes for lights and the bullbar, way its built piping all to short none of the bars run strait through all offset

Look for old stuffed compressors at the dump/tip etc. A lot of the small, cheap, direct drive ones sh*t themselves in a short amount of time.

they just about got armed gards up the tip now you have to go to their shop to get anything from what i hear they ar not cheap

Back when I was drag racing motor bikes I made a air receiver for the air shifter set up

I was weight obsessed at the time and made the tank out of truck exhaust pipe and some 2mm plate I did add an extra piece of 2mm plate were the fittings went in

It was regularly pumped up to 125 psi And is still being used 17 years after I sold it.

I did pressure test it to 180psi in a steel cage we had in the instrument workshop before I trusted my welding :msp_biggrin:

Many others used to use class 18 PVC pressure pipe 100mm diameter. They worked fine but were too heavy :wink2:

If you want to make your own out of class 18 PVC pressure do your self a favour and buy the red primer and the high pressure glue (green).

Mounting would be easy as they make saddles for the pvc pipe.

The end caps are thick enough to take a 1/4bsp and easyt to tap.

That pipe will easily handle 125psi which is more than you need.

was thinking somthing similar, where i want to mount it i could use 2 more sadles to fix a gard for rock impact

The PVC is great to work with. I made a water tank for up under the back of the GU ute using the appropriate saddles. Very quick, easy, simple but very effective tank setup with a tap at both ends.
