@MrFirewood congratulations on your purchase. I own one and like it.
MTronics work and newer generation systems are getting it dialed in pretty good. They are also need to to be run a little differently for success.
Cold start press the trigger and move the controller down to third position, there are only three positions.
Start saw and then let it run with the chain brake off for 30 seconds to minute before blipping the throttle. This allowing the computer to adjustment to run the saw and allowing the saw to get to a operating temperature getting the piston to round shape.
If you don't do this and start a cold Mtronic then chances are it is going to flood and die on you causing grief getting it to start again.
After finishing cutting and when you have been cutting with a load on the motor, allow the chainsaw to idle for 30 seconds to a minute before shutting it down.
This allows the motor to cool and sets the computer seeing a idle state.
If you shut down the Mtronic when it is hot right after high rpm then that is what the computer stores in memory. So when you try a restart the computer thinks it needs to add the same volume of fuel. In return it floods and gives you grief.
The computer remembers the last parameters and applies them again at restart.
So have fun and be safe, keep a sharp chain, the 261C will do you good.
