I have a very soft spot for old hunting dogs. I grew up with running walkers. After I married I got bird dogs. I love a pointer dog just about better than anything.

Two Stihl 026s are on my bench as I play musical carbs. I got an 070 off of it yesterday. (that pretty much takes up all my space when it's on the bench). And on deck, an 036 that needs an oiler hose.

image.jpg 044 with a cracked tank, then epoxied, then cracked again! Someone did a real number on this tank. Anyone just happen to have a used one layin around?

Those oil hoses can be a *****.

Drop it in a quart jar of nearly boiling water to make it softer.......

I am in Virginia and picked up the Poulan 3400 that I bought new in the early 1980's. Quit running over 4 years ago and I tore it down to find a broken ring. I bought the new ring but it has been sitting in a box ever since, but the time has come to get it going again.

Was planning on takin the kidders to the lake today. I always hook up the muffs and fire the engine before we leave to alleviate any unforseens.

Impeller isn't pumping so that's what's on my bench this week.

I did some port, and compression work on my old boat. It's an 18.5' 1972 Classic motor boat, with a Chevrolet 6 cylinder. I've not used it in years.......but at one time it would make 52 MPH. That's pretty good for a heavy ass V hull.

I used to have something similar with a straight six. It
topped out at about 35. So, I would say you done good! I bet some of those high tech, high output two stroke outboards would be fun ! Better have a big fuel tank...
