Doubt the screen is needed if you wipe dust off before filling . I recycle these laundry bottles for oil . Works great no funnel needed and valve seals nice no leaks.

Got this today, the last piece of the puzzle. You can tell its a farmers saw, the chain is on backwards..

It means that this was the last saw I needed to have one of each of the 7 saws Poulan built and labeled for Allis Chalmers. From what I have been told, there is only one other collector that has the complete set of them. I'm not so sure that is true, but still...

Tore apart my 4000 and rebuilt among or things, the oil pump. The round foam filter around the pintle button is gone. They are NLA insofar as I know. Any ideas?

Did know they had one there. I know when I pulled mine apart I replaced the one that went into the two holes in the side of the housing. Mine must have been into before and was never installed.
