Did know they had one there. I know when I pulled mine apart I replaced the one that went into the two holes in the side of the housing. Mine must have been into before and was never installed.

Hope I'm not mixing up my saws. You may be correct. Maybe it's the S25DA that has the round foam piece but I swear it was the 3400 Series. A mind is a terrible thing to lose. Need to look at the IPL.

Those 2stroke lawn boys were tough as nails. That one looks in good shape
They are all I use . Bought that for $15 20 years ago . New in aug 76 says the reciept in the manual that came with. And here is a little eye candy since your fans. Passed on it for $100 ,bottom part under the engine broken. Oh ya pioneer yellow!

Hey guys it's been a while since I've posted on here but have a question. I know it's not the correct thing to do but will a 3000-3300 clutch cover work on a 3450?

Tore apart my 4000 and rebuilt among or things, the oil pump. The round foam filter around the pintle button is gone. They are NLA insofar as I know. Any ideas?
Hi I have a question about the pump, can you use air pressure to blow out the check valves and lines or will it blow them apart. How do you clean them. Thanks

You will blow the hell out of them. Don't do that, they come apart on there own easy enough, they don't need any help.

Soak them in a solvent then let them dry on there own.

I thought I would have the little Allis running today but its been a little bundle of aggravation. Had a weak spark, then no spark, then good spark but erratic, now no spark again. Tried cleaning up 2 different sets of used points but no good. Swapped a couple used coils in and out of it without any luck there. Been through this before and sometimes I have had points that just won't work so I got a new set coming for it.

Everything else is done, oil impulse line, oiler metering/pump inspected, new crank seals, starter cleaned, serviced with new rope, fuel line and carb rebuild. Should be good to go when the new points get here.

In the mean time, I'll start pulling the rest of the AC's out and get them running again. I'm sure I'll have some fuel lines to change..

Thanks Mark! I knew it would but was meaning is does the ones with the chain brake from the older series work on the 3450 and the chainbrake still operate?

I am pretty sure they will. I had one on a 3500. I also have a brake cover from a pp365 that is identical to the one on my 330.
