Crankshaft sealsIf you have to plug that hole, then there is something else wrong that needs attention.

I'll try, but it seems that the metal ring is only on the outside and is thin, maybe I can screw it inTake a punch and drive the seal in just a bit to break it loose. Sometimes if i have room I use a tiny drill bit and drill a hole in the seal, then put a metal screw in it then pry it up and out.

I'll see what the guide I got with the saw looks likealso have a few questions. this is the 36" bar that was on the saw when I bought it. do not see any chain oiling holes to get oil into the bar groove. wrong bar?
