Will my Wards/Remington 660(ish) pull a 24" roller nose w/3/8" x .058 chain?

Reason I ask is i'm stuck with the 3/8" sprcket drum on there now. It's a real pain finding sprocket/drums for Bantam types to be swapping around.

OH you gotta post that Mall here when it's done!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want one soo bad. I'm playing with a not so bad 2MG right now, but will have to post some pics when I get back as I have questions.

Ok...you talked me into it. Reassembling this week. I'll post some photos for ya.

Wards/Remington 660 type.

Just to confirm. The carb. is a Tilly HL-159A. Just finished putting a kit in it. Didn't really need to be done but now has an ethanol compatable pump diaphram in it.

This has to be the best condition of any of the old clunkers I have come up with. Everything about it points to low hours and good care. The blue paint is either original to the saw or someone did an outstanding job of repainting it long ago. Even had a Champ. J6J plug (NLA) in him.

Mighty Mite 500

I have found a Remington Mighty Mite 500 that apperes to have never been used.

Questions: How much would such a saw be worth??
What might be wrong with such a saw after having set around for 30 years??
Do I need a saw that I would not wont to use???????

However much you can get for it. They were not a terrible saw in their day, not as good as a few, better than most. Your market is someone who wants one because it was dad's or Grandpa's saw, or the first one they ran.
Fuel lines then did not have to tolerate the crap they call gas now. Seals should be fine, but can be suspect on an old shelf queen. Lack of spares was a problem then, I think, and is much worse now.
Hell yes! Of course you do. DUH!

Should have left it alone.

Drew sent me another fiber washer for the rewind on the SL-11 as one was missing. So, while I'm at it, I clean and gap the points. Got a new steering wheel/balancer puller from Sears.

The starter works soooooooooooooooooo much better now. Thanks Drew!

But, we have no spark.:bang: We did something wrong.

Senior moment. Had it on the low part of the cam, should have had it on the high part.

Both Mall 10 Bow saws I restored now have straight bars to go with each saw. I don't have any pics of them mounted on the power head.

Cliff,

Just now noticed the camo saw over here...that's a nice looking saw, really like that one. The red one is exceptional also. Also way cool that you have matching regular bars, makes for a nice set.
