Not much happening in this post? I have the Wiz running and idling.:p I have no idea what a recoil and clutch cover would cost me for the c52/51 (it has a clutch and sprocket?) but I really would like to start it, that's what it's all about.

If we don't get an answer from a pro, a picture would be great, the c51/52 is a three bolt pattern. KZ
I have both starter assembly's and will get a pic posted in a bit as I have to dig it out. I usually dont pick up the blue c series saws unless under $10 and only when I need a part. I do pick up the red ones when I find them.

The blue c5-c52 is the smallest displacement of the series and while 77cc's sounds like a lot it is not reflected in performance. It is best suited with a 20" hardnose bar and .404 chain. The 2000 which is on the other end of the performance end will pull 60" bar full of .404.

That thing looks like it weighs 50 lbs. I like the spartan look of it. What model is it? I want to look it up on acres internet.

Kz, you might want to make sure your c-51 fuel tank situation is doable before you get too deep into parts and all. The one I resurrected has fossilized fuel in the tank which required the tank to be taken apart. The screws were pretty hard to get off. Maybe you can just clean it out with some laquer. But you need to assess that I think before buying things for it.

I love my old c-51. The sound is phenomenal. But the saw is super heavy.

It is a homelite 2000.
A fellar down the road was showing me around his barn one day, when I spotted a Homie 2100 partially buried under some stuff. He said they use it occasionally, but not too often. I told him to keep me in mind if he ever wants to get rid of it. He dropped by the other day, but he's not ready to sell yet. He got that saw at a little auction about a mile down the road. He was the only bidder, I think he paid $10 for it. All he had to do, was put gas in it.
