Mabe I jus need to sell it all and get one, as I can't seem to properly run a saw, maybe I can make up for it with brute force? Hell, why not just sell it all and get an 880, bet I can't load it up too much!!! But what do I know?

Sell them all. After you buy some more, we'll figure out what's better out there....

But it may not be as good as a beefed up 7900....

Maybe I can call OCC and have them make me a seat to go no the 880 so I can ride that sucker all the way down?

BTW, I must not be able to run a saw either, cause I never thought of my stock 346 as a 372 like these guys do..... Maybe i just got a bad one...

How do you have it set up now?

It has an 18" GB pro top, oiler is open all the way. Not sure what the chain is, looks lke Carlton, but has the little bumper in front of the rakers, kinda like safteychain, but not. I ground the chain at 60deg, by 32deg to get it to clean up. I have not tached it yet, but seems to rev good. Throwing oil all over the place, not burning the bar anywhere. I will try and tach it tommorow and see, I am lacking time right now, and jus had a fw minutes to play before it got dark.

I need to add, this saw was purchased from a former AS member that was also dissapointed with this saw, does that help much Ben?

Ditch that chain first and replace it with stihl rs if your set on using .325.

Ben thats not gonna help that saw. If it doesn't have enough grunt to keep that safety chain turning its gonna be worse with a chain thats really biting. He's got a power issue of some sort, sounds lean to me, all speed, no power, running on air instead of fuel, whatcha think??

My wood is to dirty, I need a semi-cheisel or RM, I cut in a lot of sandy areas and ge wood from tree services so you never know what you get. But as Tom says, I have issues deeper than that.

Well thats going extreme but possible, can't argu that. Most scuffed Stihl's that still ran always ran till they heated up and then quit. Had a ole boy bring me a 029 last week saying it runs about 3 minutes and just stops. I pulled the rope and felt that sticky feeling and said she's junk. He goes what. I said ya heard me, its junk, cylinder is shot. He goes how you figure that. I yanked the muffler and what a mess. I popped the fuel cap guess what we found, 100% pure gas. He was going off because he had loaned the saw to his buddy or so he claimed. Seems everytime I see a saw with pure gas its always been loaned to a buddy, lolololol
